I do see what your saying..and it is a buyers market..Im not in a rush but i would be nice to drive something other then a company car
Only thing to question would be the internal engine parts as far as the rest you can see the brand, quality and craftsmenship. I would safely assume you have never built a car. And it cost more 3-4x more to piece one together

Yes,.. very good heads.
I have AFR 185 heads on mine. Trapping 110 through the 1/4 on a 306 in basically a full weight GT and my fat ass of 300 lbs. Though if your looking for more of a driver,.. you may be better off with 165 heads. They will produce a broader torque curve for daily driving and still make good power.

The problem with head choice is PTV clearance. The AFR 165 heads should work with stock pistons. The 185 heads have 2.02 intake valves and need a deeper valve relief for PTV clearance. Trickflow, Vic Jr, AFR and Cainfield are some of the best heads out there. Vic jr are probably the most affordable and flow great right out of the box. Even more so with some mild porting. They've been around a long time. To the best of my knowledge,.. TrickFlow makes the only 2.02/1.60 valve head that will work with stock HO pistons. The rest will require new pistons or fly cutting the stock ones.

If your building a motor from scratch you can take these things into consideration and build your bottom end accordingly.

Ok i looked at the car tonight.. clean title 92 LX ..9 out 10 on the body.. 10 out of 10 inside..it been garage kept for the last 8 years..no crack or damage to the dash or seats..
The motor is out of the car and ready to add mods..
the owner will install any parts i buy and drop the motor in for $3500 out the door

Personally......I would get a set of AFR 165's, a supercharger, and replace the cam with a nice CARB legal one, subframe connectors, rear suspension, and then call it a day. Run 12's all day with it legal and legit and do it with the A/C on and radio blasting. But thats just me.
