Default quick brake question

I have an 8.8 disc brake rear out of a t-bird, I just scored the correct mustang rear but it has drums, does anyone see why the discs won't pretty much bolt onto the drum axle tubes?
A little grinding and welding I can handle, redesigning the disc brackets might be a problem.

I put Cobra rear brakes on my 88 LX using North Race Cars custom brackets. They let you use standard Fox length 5 lug axles. They come in offsets for GT or Cobra set ups. They are not cheap, but do let you keep a decent offset for big rims and tires. Late Model Restoration has them in stock.

just use the whole tc rear. you can bolt the disc setup onto the mustang rear but guess what? you have the same rear again. the 87-88 tc and the mustang use the same housing. the disc rear has aprox .75 longer per side axles.

So they're the same length, only the axles are longer? (I assume to account for the discs)
OK, then where would I find 5 lug axles, or would that be a custom axle?
I guess I could drill the rotors since they're cast.

yes.

the sn95(94-98 ) axles are the same length but the disc is bigger, so you have to use all the sn stuff, or drill the tc disc.
