fuel questions...
well, tommy, ur the man. plugged the nipple that u spoke of, still idles a lil high, after i come back from xmas vaccay, i will shoot u a couple bucks, to come time it and adjust the carb. u know the car as well as i do, lol. i left the fuel pump on for about 15mins today also tommy, and it wouldn't fill the filter. so im gonna keep the pump and just use it for spray.

GET SOME

its the fuel pump. not pullin enough fuel. not to my knoledge, the intake has had nothin to do with it. im not totally, sure, its sorta been a process of elimination on the problems i have had with this car, have about 200 in replacement parts, but its all good, the gremlins r being slaughtered as i go. but, thats the whole meaning of the word project.

See, this doesn't make sense to me....The first minute or so of acceleration uses the fuel that is in the float bowls.....So if the car sits and idles at all or has ANY pressure at all, then the bowls will be full....and the car will be running on the fuel in them....It's not an instantaneous thing. You need a fueal pressure gauge to tell if there is any rpessure at all...If there is, then I would say your problem lies elsewhere...but...Tommy's actually seen and worked on your car. I haven't. LOL I trust his abilities since he's never given me reason not to.

Till you get another pump, move it close to the tank as you can get it and it MAY get you buy for a bit till you can upgrade HTH
Like I said you have a damn good start to a nice car!! Cant complain for the price either
