You should have asked that BEFORE having it ported. But I would replace the cam and the induction somehow if I were you. This way, you don't have to do it later, and it's taken care of.
well it's the head off of my old motor. and what do you mean by induction? like a clod air or something? and with the cam im guessing i can just pull one out of a ranger. from what i hear they are a bit bigger.

J/K No, I'm not refering to cold air. I'm refering to port matching the intake to the head to increase flow and smooth out the flow for better flow. I'm also talking about your basic induction. i.e carb or if injected, the MAF, etc. I have also heard that the Ranger cams are a bit bigger, but I would still buy a custom one from a reputable cam mfg instead. This way, you can tell them your exact set up and what you want it to do. They can help you to get the perfect cam to maximize what you want to do. Kinda expensive, but REALLY worth it.
Did you have the head machined for larger valves also?
If you are runing one of the 4square lower intakes and your head porter knocked down the inner walls of the #1 and #4 ports youll need to match the 2 outer runners to that head port angle.

i was going to but dont have the money to go that far. plus im trying to save for some other things. and it's only taking $60 out of my pocket for the porting so i figured why not. but if i had around an extra $600 for the head and some other things then i would be game.

Take it easy man. This is most likely a younger kid who doesn't have a lot of money and has been listening to his ricer friends a bit too much. He'll figure it out just like you and I did....but doing this stuff and learning the hard way what works and what doesn't. Honestly Joker, you're better off just doing a v-8 swap if you're looking to increase HP for straight line acceleration.
I have some extras if you'd like to borrow a few.

yes you are right for the most part. i am only 20 and rarly have the extra cash to spend. but i dont like going in a straight line down the road. i have been practicing drifting but having a lack of power is a disadvantege. a v8 would be fun but i guess i like the rare things a little to much. i try to keep the stupid questions out but i didnt think asking about a ported head was stupid. but anyways. the set ups i like so far are the svo, v6, or straight 6.
