So why is mine amiss?

I setup mine and it goes from 1.60's to 1.80's if i am lucky
Its probably because you built a high rpm motor, and threw a nitrous cam in it. Your car probably doesn't make a lot of torque without the spray. which is why it bogs and unloads and launches like it does.

Ya I know that.

thats why I am sitting here scratchin my fuckin head.

I have a t5 though.

And as you said steve b yes it is a specific nitrous cam but on the dyno with the stock tune it hit 400 rwtq but I cant remember where in the rpm range it hit that number.

Well here is what I have done so far and this is what we are coming out on next time we go out.

We did a redneck spool (welded the posi ) took a little weight off the front end and took the evaporator case out. Currently putting the cage in it and the bottle. We are changing from et streets to et drags. We are basically leaving the suspension alone. If that doesnt work I am really gonna be pissed off.

You think the Mega bite jr's aren't working with the 5 speed??

I thought I was going to have a problem running the south sides with a 5 speed but it seams to be doing ok, so I'm going to leave it alone for now.

^^^possible

but....i have seen many 5 speeds with that type of setup do just fine????

Like you said your 5 speed and 6.70 is getting it done.

I thought about that and i last time out I did move the lower control arms up to the middle hole but with no good results. You would think if that was an issue moving the control arms up one whole would of atleast netted a little bit of a gain....wouldnt it?

I mean obvisouly we can get it too hook if we take a bunch of timing out on the launch. That last run if I knew it was gonna hook when we took that much timing out I would of left harder on the 2 step so it wouldnt of bogged down. Maybe I am just going crazy and worrying about it too much.

Lets put the cage in, put it on the rollers to get a real tune in it, hit the bottle and lets see what happens.

But IMO we shouldnt have to take that much timing out of it. We arent talking about a big block making 1000+ hp

Its just a little 347, we shouldnt be having any problems dead hooking
