Rev limiter? or is the engine choking?
well i recently aquired a 92 Vert from my mother in law and while cleaning it up today i was revving it up. it got to about 3k and started choking and not revving any higher. now i dont have it registed as it needs tires and a few things gone over so i havent takin it out on the road. it has 52k on it and i think it may need a tune up. but does it have a rev limiter limiter like GM does and cuts out at 3k unless in gear? and also where can i find new weather stripping for it as the rubber around the windshield shrank and the corners came out. here a pic before i started cleaning 2 5gal buckets worth of leaves and mud out of the front fenders and cowl and i found 3 large rats living in there.
cosmetically its a 9 outa 10, and mechanically is 8 outa 10 as it was started and run though a heat cycle every 1-3 months... when i say it sat, it sat on a concrete driveway covered. no rot, rust, everything works. just dirty right now. im bringing it to my house tomorrow night so ill post some pics. before and after i clean it.
I can smell the interior from here.
No Rev limiter at 3k.
So I would say sounds like fuel filter or fuel pump. Has the car been sitting a while?

there under the hood... never made it inside... so yea, 9 outa 10, no rust, no dings, and when its waxed it looks awsome. its been sitting under trees and covered in dust. washed it today and will wax today if it doesnt rain, then the pics will come. plus the shitty camera phone doesnt help
and after letting it run for about 15-20 min its cleared up. runs fine now.
