i guess you guys don't need a lot of coolant to keep your plastic intake cool

Remember, I gots me a 4v.... no plastic on my motor. All aluminum.

Fun ford- Thanks for the pic. Now it makes sense. So not only does it have to seal against the heads but also the block. Hmm, weird. -Mark

Yep, If you use the cork 90% of the time the intake is going to push the corkout and give you a leak.

Weird? Ford has been putting this engine in mustangs from 1968 to 1995, pushrods are pretty normal to me. 27 years of proving its self. Ill tell you what’s weird 4 cams and a damn alternator that sets between the heads.

Man that’s crazy. Be carfull you might start working on that old antiquated push rod stuff and get addicted.

Ha ha. Very funny guys. Still looking for my first loss to a n/a bolt-on windsor.

My next question is do I have to pull any of the accesories to pull a head? I haven't checked but don't know if there are any pre-drilled holes for one. Unless everything is bolted to the block. -Mark

You can leave the accesories on the brackets, but yes you will have to remove the brackets to take the heads off. But thats all dependent on what is still on the car. Definetly will have to remove the alternator, you might be lucky enough to not have to remove the smog pump, the A/C compressor or the power steering pump. As said, it just depends on whats there.

Not too sure if any of those exist. OTOH, all my stuff is bolted on and it is n/a (no/alcohol) so if I make it to track day, you can try on the Uglymobile for size if you want.

As for the accessories, I'd just go ahead and take them all off. It makes things go smoother and in the end you'll probably save time by not having to fight things.
