The TFS box R intake I got looks really tall. There is a 1"spacer that comes with the intake that has to be in place and I was thinking about having it cut in half and maybe even a little of the intake shaved if it comes down to it. There are several things I could do, I just want to check into that. It may not look so tall when the valve covers and fuel rails are on but I'm not even sure my 4" cowl hood will clear.

Why cheap out on the lifters now? If the stock retainer fatigues and fails allowing the lifter to rotate in the bore those little roller bearing will potentially do bad things. Not to mention pieces of the cam lobe it wipes out.

I have not been able to get anyone to tell me what the benifit is for going with different hyd rollers.. I don't need the arm type since my block is machined to accept the OE style. I've also been constantly told the OE style is all I need.
