Rocker arm adjustment .. need help
I don't have pics because I can't find my camera, but the rocker arms are aluminum roller style with the stamping F72..I've done a Google search and nothing comes up for these kind of rockers...
Basically, the valvetrain has been making noise since I bought the car...slight ticking/tapping sounds which get louder with higher rpm's. This noise has gotten worse as of late and while my car is out of commision due to the tranny I figured I'd look into it.
I've taken the upper manifold and throttle body off, removed the driver side valve cover and I can turn all but two of the pushrods with my fingers. There is no poly lock at the top of the rocker arm...only one allen type bolt in the middle of each one. The two rockers per cylinder seem to be attached by a piece of metal underneath them.
Is the noise due to the loose rockers? If so, can anybody give me a little nudge in the right direction as far as adjusting them if these are adjustable?
I'll keep looking for my camera if pics will help.

Chris if you want bro I'll come by tomorrow and see if I can help you out. Sounds to me like you have a collapsed lifter.

If it's a lifter I'll need to take the lower intake off as well... is there a way to tell which lifter isn't staying full if the car is not warmed up?
the pushrods should spin when the cam is on base circle for that particulat valve . Spin the motor a little bit and those 2 that wont turn will probably start to turn since there will no longer be pressure from the lifter tryin to open the valve. In turn some that where loose might end up tight then.
Dave, you are right... I bumped it over a few times and the ones that weren't turning did after that.
I'm thinking about just taking the whole thing out.
I have a deal in the works for a 351W and C4... (hopefully).
I want to run the 7.50 class on all-motor. Nitrous will get me there on the stock short block but it won't be consistent enough.
