A good 347 Long block will set you back close to 5K.

But like jomar said 99 Heads (5.4PI Heads) will raise comp. ratio and also allow you to see better horsepower gains gears will help to If your not going to be driving everyday go with a lower gear ratio but shorty headers for the 4.6 are about useless go long tubes.

250 shot!
gears will make the biggest difference for the smaller mods.
tune tech just did a head swap on one w/ a chip and they gained close to 60hp.

could i place 3.73 gears in auto trans? because thats what i have and i wish i got the 5 speed but u know mothers. Im 16 and this is my first car and love it but lack upgrading information on GTs Ya i hate the fact its a single cam how bout this...a supercharger? or turbo like vortech? Supercharger i see them to be lower in temp and turbos are hot as hell plus intercooler is an plus if u get turbo. So really not looking into a 347 but if i change the cams to a 99 gt set will that mean i need new motor? thx

If u have an Aode tranny then go for 4.10s with a good converter like boostplenty said. Then pullies off-road h and timing adj. That should yield to low 14s. But any big gains u better have some deep pockets. Just look for a set of heads first if your gonna keep the car for awhile.Preferably some DOHCers! Hey Jomar whats up with project fox/modular? -Mark
