Most spectators don't know if it went 10s or 12s, they just like close racing, find a happy medium that can be attained cheaply and work on the class. I love it when somebody wants power adders or some other expensive mod and then get pissed when they get out monied. If you want power adders try pro-mod, they're cheap to race.

Well thats gotta be the dumdest post I've read in a long time. Seeing as NHRA Prostock is limited to 500CID with no power adders..........dumbass.

comparing what this class would be with N/A blocks and what Pro stock is? i understand your point, but you're looking at 2000lb cars making 1200-1500 HP running clutchless 5speeds, huge tires, etc...

to keep it in-expensive (if there is such a thing in drag racing), IMHO you''re going to have to go with an indexed class to make it fair (as others have said before me).. (run all cars, break them into "time groups" and then make your ladders...

way too many options, classes, rules, etc are being pushed up here.. only going to make it more complicated which is the opposite of what Scott is trying to do....

good luck...

Correct,I was just making a point....... a high 10 low 11 sec N/A class would be fun class to run. Lower cost, lower maint.

I agree - see my post on page 2. The only way to keep it affordable enough for the average Joe is to stick indexed. I do like the idea of a modified bracket setup though. The time is the only thing that you have to worry about - the cars can be whatever they want with the exception of trans-brakes and 2-steps. That sure would make tech a lot easier too.
