I changed the plugs and boots and its still not running right. the thermostat gasket is leaking into the front spark plug hole, i have to wonder if the COP got burnt out because of that.. The CEL just came back on so I'll get codes run

how positive are that its pinging? those motors are notorious for shitty belt tensioner chatter and coil pack failures. Ive gone thru countless on my old p71. fast easy way to check them is unplug each individual one while engine is running.

Coil replaced on #5 cylinder, car is running a little smoother, but still won't accelerate WOT at all..

I pulled it out and sprayed it with MAF cleaner, which is basic electrical component cleaner

can you see if all the elements are on the maf? those burn out/ break off very easily.

I took it to a shop this morning, and they found it was throwing a cat converter code..
They also suggested I replace all the coils with motorcraft parts
