i put sn95 balljoints,spindals,etc on the car today not thinking beforehand that there is no engine in the car right now. is there any way to compress the spring without a compressor? can't jack up the a arm, just lifts the car up so i can't get the strut mounted to the shock tower

 

two words: auto zone loan-a-tool go get a spring compressor
(ok that was like 10 words)

That or get a couple big friends to stand on the chassis, find a way to strap it down, whatever works for you.

 

rent the compressor... The amount of energy stored in one of those springs when compressed is dangerous..

i always run a chain through the spring just in case
