go educate your self bro..i know enough about both and not the lil shit kit rear mount ones.

a rear mount setup done right will have pretty much no less lag then a front mount at all and will make about the same power due to the turbo not being as hot from exh heat which inturn doesn't put as much heat soak on your compressor side,so that means cooler intake inlet temps from the rear vs a front mount.

not hard to figure out..

no, they are not.

can they make power? of course, there are plenty of cars going fast with them.

but they will not spool the turbos as well because of lost heat. you have to go to a smaller a/r on the turbine to compensate which hurts top end power.

i do agree there are pros and cons of each setup. i will step off my soap box now

go talk to paul major or what ever his name is about rear mounts..he runs a 106mm on his 02 vette..i talked to him in a chat one night and he said there is no lag on his setup and it spools just as fast as a front mount and is just as efficent.

u guys are stuck on hot gasses spooling a turbo alone..there are more thing then just that that comes into play like how efficent the engine is in its self and the cubes of it.

i told u why the setup are just as efficent or if not more..i would take a colder inlet temp any day over my exh gasses having to travel a couple feet.

u can speed up exh gasses if u know what u are doing also

but i dont like the turbos in the rear of cars for the simple fact the pain of working on them..but having that weight is a plus right over the rear axles

There is nothing you can read that is going to give you the first hand knowledge that Murillo has at his disposal. If you think for a minute this car was a wild stab at something different without doing some homework, think again.

As far as losing heat to spool the turbo, I am fairly certain the car will be launched using a anti-lag or two step device that will have those two snails cranking out 40 lbs of boost at the hit.

When the car cracks off some six second passes links to other peoples theories will be out the window.

The only thing I do not understand is how they are going to control the heat in the trunk and not burning up the chutes.

I thought the same thing about the chutes, Scott. If you noticed the video, the chutes were blowing in the wind just from slight revs of the motor. What's going to happen to them when the motor is at full operating temp, blowing 40lbs of boost out the exhaust at them? I tend to think that the heat will also be somewhat of an issue for that reason.

All else, I'm sure Murillo has under control 110% - hell, he's even got a provision for the chutes - that we just don't know about. Most definitely.

I'm probably missing a lot but I like this rear mount idea just because it seems like it makes the pumbing job easier. Exhaust goes back there anyway, then one pipe goes up front full of boost!!!

I can see the case for closer to the heads but a little ingenuity along with a some ceramic coating here and there must go a long way for the average joe, like me If I could make 500hp in a less than ideal way, it's still 500hp and the car's gonna boogie...

Ill take that bet for $100 and put another $50 on it that he is at full boost less then 1.9 out
