Ah, si puntang! Starting to paint a clearer picture for lil grasshopper now Thank you!

Now my next question is this: Would I only need the line lock then, as opposed to the line lock and the Maximum Motorsports kit?

So the plumbing would come out of the master cylinder (which is currently a 2 port) - to the line lock (which has 4 ports?) - and then to the oem proportion valve (which is currently a 3 port). Right?

With the stock proportion valve having a spot for all three lines to be plumbed into the line lock, I'd have to plug one of the ports on the line lock then as well, right (picture shows a plug in one already - so that's a plus)?

Thanks again man, obviously this is outside my current realm of knowledge - so we need to change that

So let's say I want to forego the Line Lock option, and stick with the Maximum Motorsports kit that they sell... Is this the one I need to get???

if you do not get a line lock that is what you need.

good luck doing a burnout with a $1000 set of rear disc brakes.

Enlighten me with the reasoning as to your opinion? This way I can be informed, and understand, therefore making the correct decision.

It's pretty obvious that you're a smart dude, and you know what you're talking about. There are people here that stand to grow from knowledge from people like you, when you decide to enlighten us.

Thanks,

The trans has a trans brake in it. Dont waste your money on a line lock.

That's what I was thinking, but Steve B seems to think otherwise. So I'd like to know why, and if it stands to reason, then I'll just go with both the TB and Line Lock.

The trans brake is ideal for revving the car in gear at the tree (after staging)...let off of the button and you launch....

Line-loc is mainly for staging a manual trans car and to lock the front brakes for just long enough to get your burnout started.

I personally would use a trans brake with an Auto car and a Line-loc with a manual. I don't know what trans. Frankie has though.

You guys are really frustrating me.

why the hell would you use a line lock to stage a car with a transbrake??>????

the line lock is to hold pressure on your front wheels brakes so you can do a burnout without either wearing your $1000 rear brakes out prematurely, if your $1000 rear brakes will even allow a burn out to take place.

The added benefit of the line lock is that you can have the front brake portion of the 2 port master go into your line lock's inlet. and the two separate front brake hard lines, go into the two ports on the line lock, and plug the third, instead of plugging two holes on your line lock, and buying a stupid conversion you won't need if you get a line lock that you do need to do a fucking burnout with your $1000 brakes on your 400 hp motor.

a line lock is to keep a pair of wheels or 4 wheels brakes locked while you let go of the brake pedal.

All line locks i have seen have more than one outlet port on them.

with a 3-2 port conversion, you are allowing both front brakes to run off the same port of a 2 port master cylinder, instead of the back ( maybe front, you have to google that one, i don't remember and it's raining) port and the bottom port.

well if anything I know what you were saying, I just dont have a need for a line lock personally.
