Default Crown Vic/P71 performance

Seriously looking at a '99 or newer P71 Crown Vic as a daily driver and have done some hunting online for performance stuff with little success. I know the SOHC 4.6 is pretty similar (if not the same) as the mustang gt motor - anyone know of any good sites or forums to get my on the right path?

Thanks in advance!

thanks for the help - looks like the '01 and newer got the PI engine. what exactly is the difference in power between the older 4.6 and the PI? I know the heads were a bit different...

thanks again

the power difference between the non pi and pi are probably not noticed in a big car with an automatic. my wife used mine as a rolling refrigerator, so in that aspect its perfect. btw, i bought mine at the tampa machinery auction two years ago with 97k miles.... now it has 130k on it and so far all i did is replace the oil filter adapter gasket. great cars!
