I now have a set of late model foxbody headers w/studs that are in great shape (thanks to Dustin/Stangerang for the donation). The 7/16 nuts I have thread on almost all the way, but they get very tight. I'm hoping a local fastener place is open tomorrow since I'm not sure if Ace or Lowes carries a decent assortment of metric nuts.

Also have some good news for my own sanity. I just broke two header bolts loose without much of an issue and without the use of anything other than my hand and a wrench. So ***knock on wood*** the manifold to header swap should be fairly straight forward. Just need to find some new header bolts since half of my bolts are about twice as long due to the shape of the factory manifolds.

Nut size is 7/16-14 coarse thread.

I also found my header bolts at Advance Auto. Thanks for the tip Dustin...they do have a really good selection.

damit Alan, you made me go check again. I have two pair of stock headers here. the first ones i looked at were 1995 5.0 they have a m12x1.75.

the second pair were off of a 92 or 93, they have a 7/16 NC thread.

weird...
