Call a stealership. This is one thing they are good for. Then just swing by Ace.

Thanks for helping me with my nuts.

Dropped by Brandon Ford yesterday on my way back from work and they couldn't help me out. Found the part numbers for the nuts, but no specs. I'm going to stop by Pinellas Bolt/Fastener today and get a few 12x1.75's and 12x1.25's. Appreciate the help.

alot of advance auto stores have really nice hardened nuts, bots, etc.

not many people know this because they keep them in the back of the store with all the parts. i would check them out, it might make a shorter trip. they should have a big red cabinet in the back that is filled with these. i get them from advance now that i found out they had this stuff. they have all different sizes and grades. just talk to someone who looks like they have worked there for more than a day (if that person exists)

His best guess was a 7/16 nut. Couldn't get my stock nut to thread on a 12mm bolt.

Gets better though...find out my driver side manifold has some heat riser emissions deal in it. This makes it so a later model h-pipe won't fit. Looks like I'll be upgrading to later model manifolds/headers. Anyone have any laying around that are in decent shape?

Feel like I've opened up a HUGE can of worms with something as simple as exhaust. I don't think I can use my old bolts as they are all rounded off. I'm crossing my fingers that I won't need new studs. If I need new studs, I'll have to remove the manifolds Taking off the manifolds means I run a very high risk of snapping off one of those old, rusty header bolts in the head. This car will now affectionately be called "Pandoras Box".

Go to Ace. They sell Grade 8 stuff if you want. Bought Pres. Plate bolts their when i was short on time. They have a very extensive selection. Just bring your bolt up and ask for help. They will find it for you in no time.
