Yea...uhhh....expect to have to change it. The good news is it looks easy and reportedly is, and not too costly (about 200 bucks). I'm gonna buy one next week and eventually change mine out soon after just for peace of mind....if at the least buy it and have when it goes so I can change it asap

congrats on the new car, i loved mine. put so many miles on that bitch. the only thing i hated was the cops fucking with me because of the car while i was driving and people in parking lots thinking it was funny to fuck up my paintjob with their keys. every week i could find new key marks.

99s all came with 355 gears, so there isnt really much need to change those. once you start modding it though, an lsd is a nice upgrade, unless you have one of the luck few with a factory lsd.

for replacing the intake, they say 8 hours for someone with a little experience, Ford says 4 hours for one of their techs, from shutting the engine down to starting it back up was two hours and fifteen minutes for me.
