Motor is binding on something... Starter won't turn over the motor, and I can't even turn it over by hand with a ratchet wrench on the main pulley. Sooooo I guess I'm gonna pull the tranny back out and double check that the torque converter is seated correctly.

2 things also... First, there was no intermediate plate when i removed the tranny. I was told that's probably what fucked up my tranny. I put one on today however. Second, every single time I have put a torque converter onto the transmission, it has never slid in so far that the converter will hit the inside of the bell housing. I've never seen that so I was just curious.

 

you know they made 2 different AOD cases right? Im pretty sure 2 different input shafts too .. the 1 piece uses a C4 converter the other uses the Aod converter

 

This setup came directly out of don's coupe. So it's not like I'm mixing and matching converters with trannies.

 

Big mistake with an AOD......make sure you adjust the TV cable properly BEFORE you drive it. If not...you will roast your trans in 5 minutes! NO JOKE

I'm aware of the tv linkage but I haven't even been able to get it started because something is binding.

 

Matt sounds like the converter is not seated correctly.

 

Thats what I'm figuring. I stopped working on it though cause I was just getting frustrated with it. I'll come back to it sometime this week when I've got time and another body to help me.

Yeah and plus the fact that the transmission weighs as much as I do, I need help with that stupid shit.
