piton and rods in 2.3 and the 4.6 mustang
are they the same size or are they compleatly diffrent? if they are the same size im gonna need a set of 4 piston and rods from the 4.6

well, since a 4.6 has a smaller bore than a 2.3 the pistons will physically fit, but they will not work.

ok well is there any pistons that will fit? cuz im thinking about changing my project a little but im trying to make sure i get the facts tight first

im thinking about it cuz i found out about the 2.3 turboed tbird motors and i was thinking about doing that to my 2,3 cuz i got a greedy t3 i just got to rebuild it. so i was just wondering if i could cheat a little and get like the 4.6 parts or 5.0 parts i havnt looked around to c if they make after market shit for the 2.3 but yeah. know what i mean?
