Default Need Help with Rear end.

Ok I am in the process of pulling out my rear end from my hatch. I have new UPR upper and Lower control arms, Eibach Springs, and rear Diff to put in.

First, Im pulling the rear end completely out of the car. Is there a special tool to compress the clips that hold the E-Brake cable in the back of the drum?

Second, Do yall use the rubber spring insulators in your car? Ive seen that you can get poly urethane ones also. What do you use if any?

Third, My torque boxes are cracking. The car has South side bars that are not put in correctly and its causing the torque boxes to crack. Ill probably order the reinforcements but is there anything else people have done to their car to help?

First: I am sure there is a tool but if you pull and press with screwdriver you can get it out without spending the money

second: Yes I would use them, helps keep the noise down.

Third: Battle boxes!!! Weld the cracks and weld in some battle boxes

You dont want poly on the uppers. It will cause it to bind. I dont know of one that has a good enough design that wont. So rubber for the uppers at least. Lower, not to sure about, but i think you can run poly with no issues.

OK thanks guys! I got the E Brake cables out tonight, trying to get a set of stock rubber bushings for the springs and Ordered Upper and Lower torque box plates tonight.

Now, where can I find the Bushings that are pressed in the rear axle where the upper control arms mount.

I found these on jegs. Are they the ones that are pressed into the axle?

or this...

Thanks again for all the help

For all you dummies who don't know use a half inch box end wrench. Side it over the e brake cable and it will release. Good Grief. Have fun Chris thanks again for the tires.
