Thee 26inch vs. 28inch tire debate once again !
My take on it is if you are going to leave on high boost on a tranny brake a 26 tire "theoritically" won't hold like a 28" will. There must be a reason on why all the HS, REN, ,PS, and TS run them. Its simple physics. More sidewall means more energy the tire can absorb. If the car goes straight on the first half it should drive straight on the back half.
Scott- the other thing that you and Adam have in common is running an auto. I know with a turbo you half to but imagine if you could leave on high boost with a stick. You honestly think that, that little sidewall will hold 750+rwhp? I haven't seen too many bumper stands on 26"s. Why?

been down this road, you know my reasons and my opinion.
a 28" tall tire is just as stable as a 26" tire, it's all in the setup (susp, air pressure, weight, etc).
btw, the faster you go, the more the car will move around regardless of tire.. especially with a stock susp setup and the ride height you are at.

My drag radials will just blow the tires off if I hit a bad spot on the track. My 28x10.5s sway. A normally prepped track is fine, though. I had issues at Club 1320! (went for last minute practice before the Heads Up Madness)
