What brakes and pads you running? Pads like the performance frictions suck ass when cold and take a few good hard stops to really start grabbing. Hawk makes a pad designed specifically for drag racing, it has high initial torque to slow you down when the brakes are cold.
Performance friction pads here so you might be on to something.
I am going to 1/8th mile the car when I go to BMP the first time so that I know I have enough stopping room.
