well after looking at it again i can see it prolly wont hit the intake. but do they really stengthen it THAT much? they only use like a 1/4" pin mounting it to either side of the valley

Useless, your intake does the same thing. If they worked I and many others would have done this 15+ years ago.

I don't think it's worth it. The bottom of the block in where the stress is. Not the top!
i would think the top also has alot of stress due to increased rpm's and as far as the intake doing the same thing as these braces, i would think the intake would have more of a wedge effect and actually assist a crack through the lifter valley? does that make sense?

Here ya go, 306 inch all motor, production block, cast crank 8800 rpm shifts, 9100 rpm trap. Still think your theory holds water? Like I said, I been building these small blocks going on a few decades now, myself and 1000's of other racers would have devised this silly contraption decades ago, but if your hell bent on spending the money, rock on.

You can give me some cash and I'll tape some popicle sticks together for you.
damn that car is sweet. cast crank too? im just gonna be running a mild 302 with about 12 psi. and no where near those rpm's obviously.
