Default Factory ECU for stroker build up

I will be stroking a 351W to a 408. I really want to keep it EFI. Will the A9L be able to work properly with a motor this size? I am sure I will have a nasty cam and some nice heads.

I am just in the planning stages and I am trying to think what would be a nice combo for my coupe. I already have a machined 74 block and have started hording parts for this build.

I would think that the A9L would get you to the tuner of your choice....
With 42lbs injectors or more, I would want to make sure it has a good A/F!

of course it would need to be chipped with a tune....If I was to go with bigger injectors, would it be too much??

Not as long as the mass air is rated for the injectors you put in.....
I ran 42s in the coupe with the matching mass air and had no issues with it. Sam tuned that car with just FP and timing.

Stock ECU can support a lot of power. You wont get the full potential though unless it was tuned.

A9L will work with no problems. Why are you gonna get a chip? With all that money you got to burn get a stand-alone system. Unless your going to leave it n/a.

Unless you are running an aftermarket block with Cleveland mains, a 408 will not survive long much higher than 6500 rpm. the piston speed on an 408 at that kinds rpm is nearing 200 mph
