I swapped my 94 V6 to a 98 Cobra. I used everything from the Cobra. If you wanna do the swap, youll need everything. Get a donor car or what you want. You can piece parts together, but I wouldnt recommend it. Thats the route I went.

ok i nedd to do this a cheap and fast as possible so im just gonna swap another working v6 into it. i cant find any mustangs in the JY. i seen what appeared to be the same motor in many thunderbirds. iif so is this the same motor or do things need to be changed? are there only certain years that from tbird to mustang that can be directly swapped.
i also heard something about the obd 1 and 2

1. Those 2 words shouldnt be in the same sentence.

2. Do a search on V6Power.net and the other v6 sites about the swap.

3. Good luck.

Wish I could be more of a help but I dont know about all the swaps, just mine.

i didnt mean fast as in speed of the car. i meant fast as in speed of the swap and to get it running.

thanks for the link

Those words still dont belong together.

I did the same swap as Ryan. I thought i had everything, but i didnt and little things will drag you down. Thats why you should have a complete donor car. It can be done without one but you need just about everything from it. But, considering the type of swap their is a fair amount you dont have to swap.

My swap took me around a month and a half if i recall correctly. Could have been done in about 2 weeks if i worked on it a good 8hrs or more a day.

I acutally have a thread of v6power.net with most of my progress including picures. My username over their is 97stang. If you have any questions though ask me here as i havent posted their in about a year.

so your telling me it took you a month to pull out a v6 and replace it with the same motor somethings not right.

i have the whole car now. im going to get a V6 motor from the yard, pull out the old and put in the new. that shouldnt take me no more than a day. im not changing anything. stock for stock.
