i just got an 88 gt and i love it but i have a few problems,,

1. gas guage is always pegging full tank of gas????

2. flashers and turn signals are not lighting up outside or inside the car??? what could it be???


there are two flasher units (fuses) behind the fuse box ..(those little silver cylinders with 2 prongs..) i replaced those.. still nothing what could it be????

probably have a bad sending unit in the tank, not uncommon at all

probably have a bad turn signal switch ( the actual switch on the column, very easy to replace) not uncommon either.

 

i fixed the turn signals with that switch, and i am dropping the tank tomorrow to check out the sending unit.. thanks for ur help racingrick

 

the float prolly got stuck in the tank...

HAH my stupid car has the fuel tank full anyway.. I HATE it =(
