with a 5500 rpm redline, 28" tires, .7 od (a 4R70W will shift into OD at WOT, mine does it about 120) and 3.27 gear 200.15 MPH. The same but with a 3.55 is 184.37. But taking a 4000# vehicle to 200MPH with a .34 drag Cof would take well over 1000 HP

HEheh, that'd be quite a cop car. I meant with everything the same except no load limiter.

The worst part of it all is that he wasn't even chasing the Camry - he was on his way to help in the chase.

Back in the day 79 I had a Camaro with the motor from the SS/D natioinal record holder in it. When I got the car it had a 450 horse 454 and the guy with the record holder wanted it so we traded. The car would hit 165 in 3/8's of a mile with 3.73 gears still had some left. On more than one occasion I left many a patrol car far behind. One time the officer rolled his car trying to catch me. I never saw it as he was literally miles behind me. As luck would have it someone got my tag number and I got arrested. Now here is the kicker. This was in Lafayette Louisiana. They wrote me a pile of tickets. Once I posted bail his captain called me into his office and told me that since I was able to control my car at speeds of 170 mph and his officer could not even handle 120 and they did not actually catch me that I was free to go and he wished that his officer could drive a little better. Of course that was back in the young and stupid days and there is now way I would even think of driving like that now. And it was on long country roads. But the CHP officer may be getting ribbed by his buddies for a long time. I am thankful that no one was ever hurt back when I did that kind of stuff. And am thankful to be alive doing that stuff on bias ply tires. N-50 15's on the rear if that tells you how many decades ago that was.

Hey Ryan long time no see.

Ive had my 95 Grand Marquis (with PI PCM, underdrives, PI dual exhaust) to 135 according to a guy in a Tiburan. The car was able to do more but we hit turns and I had to quit. Non-PIs are lighter than PIs. Oh and I have 2.73s. I get 24-27 mpg on hwy.
