FWIW, apparantly none of the 4-cyl turbo computers I've run supply enough voltage to turn on a regular autoparts store 30-amp relay, it just won't prime the pump.

I'd replace it straight with whatever oem relay ford used, can't get it to work otherwise.

Yeah, I know all about the normal stuff for at least the '91 and earlier 5.0's but this '93 2.3 liter thing is a different kind of animal. Did a search on corral but can't find anything specific on what the multifuunction box actually does...but that's gotta be it. I don't know if it's dead or not but I unpluged the fuel pump at the tank and jumped it directly to the battery and it ran just fine. Then I did a daisy chain with what wires and clips I had to the other side of the plug so I could see my test light and turn the key at the same time and got nada on the light. Can't be sure if I had good contact though. I'll try again tomorrow when somebody is here at work with me and see if there is current there. If not, then either the wire is shorted somewhere or themystery box may be dead.

Thanks for the offer $hawn but there are at least 3 of them down at the junk yard so it'll be cheaper there than to buy gas to your place...and I'm a cheap bastige.

hey tony is the engine and ecm wiring harness from a 93 if its not then that will be whats wrong the 93 is a one yr only car you need 93 wiring to make it work it sucks and if you got the wrong harness then the fuel pump will not turn on at all.

If that's his only problem, he can wire one in the circuit himself in like ten minutes and solve all his problems.

Nope, it's all '93 stuff, Paul. And the rad is full, Donnie. Looks like it's the Idiotic Relay Crap Mechanism that is the problem. Cool, this will give me the opportunity to add the specia DrDirt customizing touch to the car. Anybody got a paper clip and some Dentyne?
