odometer & temp gauge stoped working??help

Default odometer & temp gauge stoped working??help

I just got a 1995 Ford Mustang last week and the old owner told me after swaping the engine the temp & the odometer stoped working..can someone tell me how to get them to work again.or do I need to change the cluster too???thxs for any help...

Actually I have a 97 Mustang GT the odometer went out in it also. All the other gauges work fine, just the tripometer and odometer went. I think it's something to do with the gears. I took it out and fooled with it a little and it went for about a half mile then stopped again. From researching it looks like that's a quite common problem at least with the odometer. I'm going to attempt to fix it again, I just don't think it's worth paying $300 - $500 for a new instrument cluster.

holy crap. Thats a lot to fix a stupid odometer. Mine stopped working a week ago in my 96 mustang. Looking for someone to fix it.... Have no clue about cars.
