I just read the part about me having a problem with the water inlet adapter. I thought it was my thermostat housing itself, changed the gasket twice then found that it was the threaded nipple that the bypass hose hooks to and at high RPM's would leak from there. JB welded it and haven't had any problems since. You have to seal the big threaded plug at the top as well. what a shit design but it looks good!

Well I have most of the issues worked out...the exhaust leak is coming from where the dipstick is mounted to the header bolt. It came loose causing the dipstick to rattle, and the exhaust leak. Everything else seems to be doing good again. The temp is back to normal and the alt is charging like usual.
Stewart, Ill take a look at that piece tomorrow, the coolant has to be going somewhere....hopefully its not going the same place it went in my F150

good luck, you will see a pool of water/coolant directly below the bypass hose down in the valley of the timing cover on the left. it would never leak at idle only when I would get it up in RPM's. drove me nuts....also check/change the hose that attaches to the bypass nipple, could just be leaking from there. Hopefully you get it worked out, it is the little things that bother the most.
