I had an x cam car I was going to put a vortech on but I sold the car before I installed it so no real good answers
I will tell you with the cam 8 degrees advanced it was really a screamer. The car certainly ran good on nitrous after I sold it but I don't know the LSA of an x cam.

most people put in an aftermarket cam in order to gain upper RPM hp.
you won't find any more bottom end than a stock cam shaft...

Well according to the people at

COMP CAMS® Support Information

COMP CAMS® Support Information - The leader in camshaft and valve train technology. Free CAM HELP® at 800-999-0853. Advancing that cam 8 degrees would increase the bottom end quite a bit.

the x cam gives you more upper rpm horsepower but lacks a lot on the bottom so advancing it gives it more off the line
