Default come through guys

ok heres the dilema, pulling trans to replace throwout bearing. Easy enough right????? Hell no cant get the flange off the headers to pull the x pipe, first problem havin a hell of a time getting at shit, third and pat will back me on this. THE FUCKING THEIVES HERE STOLE ALL THE TOOLS OUT OF THE MK SHOP!!!!

Now for the ques. is it easier to pull the trans from the bell housing then pull the housing or am i asking for trouble when i go to put this back together?
Can i change the throwout with the bell housing still attached to the block and the trans out of the way??????

Only reson i ask is i've done this prob 5-10 times on my parents diff f-150's much more room please come through quick!!!!! i'm covered in grease and have to have it done before the OINC comes in in the am

you can do it either way, if you take the trans from the bell, its gonna make it harder to get the clutch fork back on. so i just take the whole trans out, its so light, its not worth the headache of splitting them

so how the hell do you get to the two top bolts on the bell housing?

And your saying if i just pull the trans and leave the bell housing its harder to do?

get the two from up top, if you can reach your hand in the bell and get the clutch fork back on the pivot after changing the TOB, go for it

ok gonna try from the top see how it goes not much room in there for my ogar hands but i'll try if not i'm seperating them FUCK IT I'll push it back into a parking spot and hope Chief dosent notice

if you split them, just have patience and itll go smoothly. and make sure your splines are lined up when you put it back. either way, youll be fine. if you have to use a wrench for the top two, thats what i do

long 1/2 drive with an universal on the end make short work of the top twp bell housing bolts.

I like to split them, gives you a little more room.

tried spliting them didnt work went back to plan...... dont remember what plan i was on. So on to the new problem, now i need a new set of headers, tried to undo the bolts where the "x"pipe flange meets the headers, snapped them fuckin' studs clean off !!!!!! anyone have any cheap shorty headers?????????
