alternator???

Default alternator???

ok i did the alternator upgrade on my 87 cam eout of a 95 gt,my only question,the wire coming from the alternator to the starter solenoid,burnt out so i replace dit with a 4 gauge wire,lots of people told me not to put a fuse but i just loked at it now and it looks were it goes conected to the alternator the wire color original is that blue tranparent color now it starting to look all black like its burning up,what fuse do you guys recomend i put their???would a 60amp fuse work or do i have to go higher???

no fuse...you'll be fine.

alright thanks guys,yes you are right dave i asked one of the mechanics at my work here they said the same thing...thanks for the info guys

I put a marine fuse rated at something like 150 amp on mine. I think I used 1 or 2G wire also. I haven't had a problem.
