If you have a car that had the Turbo 2.3 in it from the factory, you can be WELL into the 13s for a few hundred bucks.
Is the aftermarket for the 2.3 as strong as it is for the 5.0? Nope, but who gives a shit. If nothing else, in some ways a huge aftermarket makes you spend more money. The 2.3 guys learn to make do with whats available, and they make do rather nicely.

+1..My car ran a 13.2 and I have $1,200 in my car including the car itself..Plus they can handle 500+ in stockform.
I like the 5.0's but in 20 years I think the 4.6 will surpass it when it comes to aftermarket parts. Look at the 96 up cobra motors. The Teksid block can handle up to 1,000 hp. the crank, when prepped correctly will hang in there up to 1,000 hp too. Wish my factory 5.0 block could do that.
Most legendary = 5.0
I voted for the tree fitty wun since I have it.

nobody said anything about the flathead v-8. if it wasn't for that engine, none of the engines we like would be here today. i know it's not powerful or reliable but it was the rodders choice for years and years and the first mass produced v8

it was a great motor. just wasnt the hemi killer that the ford claimed. you could see that in drag racing.
