Hey tr fans, im running a post to see what people think about their mn12 cars (tbird,mark8,cougar) or if you have any tech tips or general advice on the cars you can post it here. any trash talking should be done elsewhere, but all subjective opinions are welcome.tell about your car its mods and any good times you may have had with your car.

My wife and I had a 93 with the 3.8 years ago. It was a great car. Good looking too. It was silver with black interior. It was a fairly base model car but still had all the power options I needed. That car was great on the highway. We made it from Gainesville to my house in an hour and 10 minutes at night one time
The only big thing is of course the head gaskets on the V6.

i had a 96 4.6 auto, they look great on some chrome cobra r's but u have to buy the different lug pattern so they are a little hard to find. i just had a cai, shorties, stock h pipe and flowmaster cat-back, sounded and look nice but not that fast like 9.8 in the 1/8th
i have an 88 xr7 cougar. i like it. 5.0 efi...stock right now. its going to be my project, and i have quite a few ideas for her.

A mustang exhaust will work, but it will need to be modded. I think the H-pipe will be a bolt in, but the car is longer than a mustang so the cat back will be different. If it were me, I'd buy a Mustang H-Pipe, a set of mufflers, and have a muffler shop make the rest to fit your car.
Ive never actually owned one myself but I have an ex g/f who had one and then my best friend had one both 93's and both with the 3.8 and both of the cars got hella miles outta the motors but thier demise was the electrical system. Both had many many problems with electrical stuff. Switched lights groundings and things of that sort. But then again that was after about 150k miles on it.
