my mom had a 85 3.8v6 t bird and kept it until she sold it to get her 04 taurus so I guess 19 years was pretty good....only had about 120000 miles on it...ran like a champ except in the rain and snow up in New Jersey...if she only knew those times I did some 360's in some of the snowstorms
I had a 84 mark7, a 92 tbird 5.0 and then a 92 cougar 5.0. The mark was slower then dog shit, the t bird messed up a harmonic balencer but was the cleanest of the bunch. The cougar would run circles around the t bird but was not as clean. Now I have a 88 mark 7 that should run solid 12s on the motor when done.

the MN-12 cars have horrible suspension pieces. We've ahd lots of them come into our shop with all sorts of components shot. Main things were replaced were upper and lower ball joints on the front, rear upper control arm bushings and rear sway bar bushings.
I had an '86 Turbo Coupe. I liked it. Very comfortqable and ran well...not fast, but well. My only complaint was the paint sucked bigtime and the turbo oiling setup coked up easily and ate turbo's like popcorn. But warranties were my friend.
