Default Throttle sticking

I installed a 93 cobra mass air sensor in my car tonight, and the mass air system seems to check out. It is completely functional as of tonight.

We have the same problem with the accelerator as we've had all along, when we tap the accelerator or pump the throttle linkage, the car is sticking at X rpms for a second (without us doing anything) and then finally dropping back down where its supposed to be...

Someone suggested that the blade inside the throttle body could be binding up, or the idle air control motor could be taking a shit, which I plan on replacing anyway because it looks terrible....

I know that the linkage isnt catching on the valve covers because I installed a spacer to prevent that, and now the TPS sensor bolts are smashing into my hood when you close it, but the damage has been done already...a small blip on it

What other things could cause this symptom with the throttle sticking?

What RPM does it hold at before it comes back down to normal idle RPM?

I really don't know but id say around 3500 rpms, not out of hand but within reason for concern.

Not something id drive around on the street just yet.

Supposedly from what ive heard,
the 93 cobra came with 24 pound injectors yes indeed (I saw that on an SVT site)
But the SVT sight doesnt go into detail with the entire MAF system, and what a couple people have said, is that the meter is actually calibrated for 19 pound injectors, and it is relying on the computer to "recalibrate it" so to speak.

However, I don't have a 93 cobra computer, so the meter is just sitting there waiting on instructions that will never be coming.

Thats of course, info from our fine technical support team here at the ford forum

So I have since returned the cobra sensor and will be heading out this afternoon to purchase one from Carquest
So wish me luck, and ill give an update if i get my meter by today.
