Glad I didn't go because I bet my half-shafts would have let go if the track was that sticky early on... granted I'm still running street tires but with my luck...
Would have liked to see some of you run. So far all I've been able to do is read about it.

It does make 500 rwhp at 5550 but I also wanted to keep the rpm down to save the block. Do you think I should raise my shift points? personally i would rev it to 6249, if it was mine of coure.
You should shift 300-400rpm past your peak horsepower RPM. If you made 500hp at 5550rpm, then you should be shifting around 5850-5950rpm.

My bad, I thought it was max tq you look at when determining shift points. Max hp comes in at 4350, tq at 4200. I only mentioned that it made was still making 500 at 5500 to show that the power wasn't dropping off that much but I wasn't reving it that high due to the peak points being so low. Sorry if I confused you. I had Sammy shut if off at 5500 cause I didn't want any block splitting going on that day.

I understand.......but if my engine was making 500 rwhp at 5000rpm.......I would be shifting it higher if I was you.

I'm not sure how light my car is. I am actually going to be putting it on the scales in the next day or two and see exactly what it is.
I know what it was when I had the 306/aluminum head/AOD combination. It will be interesting to see what the difference is with the 358/iron head/C-4.
