The car did two 1.5s Saturday night. I run a 3.55 gear on the car, but I have never had the car trap more than 118.

Yea, all the vipers were parked up front, so we just went to the other side. There was more room to unload and move around.

Ahh you're talking about on the interstate when I beeped at you. I was traping 118 at 12 lbs and 1.6 60' then raised it to 16 lbs and hit 126 but couldn't get out of the hole any harder, I'm gonna try another 1000 rpm on the 2 step, hopefully I can get it in the 1.4's, and both wheels off the ground.

I was in the stands watching a few of your runs. It seemed like you were shifting at the tree for the most part. I was thinking with the cold air, you were making boost faster and that was causing you to haze the tires. I wish the natural light could have stayed around a little longer, but as soon as it gets dark, my camer is pretty much useless. Anyways, which tires are you running? Are you running a full slick? I gained about a tenth on the 60s running a full slick.

BTW, I had a good time hanging with you gaggots, thanks to Pat and Steve for letting me tag along, although it sounds like I missed out by skipping the after-party. I had to get home to my daughter, so I had to bolt.

I do shift into 2nd pretty quick but I'm gonna need a 1.4x to run well into the 10's. I'm running ET Streets 28x11.5 they have a 8.7" tread. I might start trailering the car and put a 28x10.5 ET Drag on it or a big drag radial. This is the first time in a while I've been able to drive home and not having to call AAA. But something is always liable to break. I was really amazed me how hard it pulled in 2nd at 16 lbs, can't wait to start running 10's on the stock motor.

5000, I get max tq at about 4500. I switched from a 3.73 to a 3.27 and it's alot more driveable now considering the tq I'm making. I need to come out of the hole harder. I want to run mid 10's with the stock motor, I think it's possible if I can put all the power to ground I'm making.

I'm surprised your car doesn't make power over 5000rpm's. Any idea why it doesn't?

I was wrong, I looked at the dyno sheet again and it makes max tq at 4200 and was under the impression you should shift at 15% higher than max tq. It does make 500 rwhp at 5550 but I also wanted to keep the rpm down to save the block. Do you think I should raise my shift points? Also as I'm sure you know the valves and ports are tiny and the stock cam makes more power down low. But you know more about this than me. Let me know what you think.
