I am beginning to think the same thing....it just does funny shit, it seems like it may have a short internally or something. I really would not recommend it to anyone. As far as the IAC situation, as you all probably know, it uses a GM style (all the sensors are actually), and it is working fine.

yes you are right, when you are using a stock computer, your intial voltage setting is what the computer uses as a base. the Holley commander doesnt work that way, basically its a retarded setup. It sets everything up off of WOT, you set the numeric number to be between 200-250ish at WOT and it determines the low setting.

I had a trick flow stage 1 in my last car with a Vortech S-trim. Worked great with no idle problems. Had a JMS chip in it. Current car with turbo is idling at about 900 with a trick flow stage 2 cam. How about you idle air control? Is it stuck or dirty? Also, just for grins, you might check your firing order to make sure yo didn't accidentally cross some wires. Plus there are two firing orders on 302's depending on which engine you have. Another possibility is a crack in the distributor cap or internal arcing check it out and look for little burnt trails.
the car runs like a top off idle, you would never know it has a idle issue when rolling around. I am familiar with the different cams.....thanks for the ideas though.
