Talking lifters tick

has anyone ever have problems with there hydraulic roller lifters making a loud ticking noise, i was told that the lifter orifice was to be facing upward but thoght it was to be lined up with the oil gallery.

I have the same issue with my lifters/rockers making noise at high rpm's. I think my issue is with a "weaker" lifter or my pushrod length needs to be checked. I am learning as I go and can let you know what I found out. Do you know if yours is correct? what cam, rocker, push rod are you using? I am running an F cam, stock ford lifters, 1.6 FMS rockers with a stock push rod length. LMK

the whole valvetrain is stock, but i was reading in MM&FF december issue on there 347 stroker buildup and thought this might be the problem, it's not the rockers i checked those, and the motor was just rebuilt and has about 6,800 miles.

it does'nt have a that real deep metalic sound to it, im pretty sure it's a the lifters, the noise is about half the speed of the engine.

I had a problem like that
Except it went away when the car had been running for about 7-8 minutes. Still, pretty annoying

how old are the lifters? could be stuck and not pumping up.

could be a loose rocker too ( exhaust ect. ) , but you should notice that easily.
