Windsor/302 blocks
I remmber reading something in a magazine about the 69/70 R302 blocks being a superior cast to any of the later production 302 blocks and not cracking at more extreme power levels like the newer production blocks (500whp+). I have also heard that the R302 block is essentially a reproduced 69/70 block , is this true ? I have also heard that the earliest windsor 351 blocks where a much better cast then the newer windsor 351 blocks , just wondering what the facts are. (Still brushing up on my windsor block knowledge)

if Scott posts his pics of the difference between his R block and a stock block you will see how much more substantial the R block is

But i don't know how much better they really are , a few people on other boards where arguing that the R302 block is just a reproduction of the earlier blocks , that where cast/built when america took pride in making their automobiles(or when they where actually making their automobiles).

Derp!
