so i can buy a set of 31 spline axles from Moser or Strange, then buy a matching differential like a Eaton, Auburn Pro, etc.... and just stick those in there?

i understand that my car has c-clips in it now, but i thought i had to buy different ones to match the 31 spline axles, cause my car has 28 spline.

god im so damn confused.......

Are you asking if you have to buy different c-clips? I believe if you buy 31's, they will come with new c-clips.

31 mosers, no c-clip eliminators, 3000lb+ race weigh, and 7000rpm clutch dumps. Holds up like a champ. I opted for c-clips cause I have disc brakes in the rear so if I break it'll still stay in the tube. There's cars in the 9's with 31 splines. -Mark

No you can use your stock c-clips with the new axles and you have disc brakes on your car so you don't have to worry about c-clip eliminators. If your axle breaks the brake rotor and caliper will hold it in. All you need to do is buy 31 spline axles and a 31 spline posi and pay someone to set up your rearend like Coastal.

If you're not in a hurry then buy a bare SN-95 rearend housing that still has its main caps with it. Build off of it so you won't have any down time with your car until it's time to throw it in there. With that rearend out of the car you can take it here, there, or wherever to get it beefed up/set up. You won't even have to leave you car at a shop overnight which tends to worry a lot of individuals.

so i can buy a set of 31 spline axles, 31spline differential and then when i have tiem take it to a shop and that is all that will be needed to install. i dont have to buy different c-clips, or get my tubes cut off and 9" put in place. i already have a set of gears at the house just trying to get everything situated so my car is down minimal time.

so if i can find a 31 spline trak-loc out of a explorer or something and then just buy a new set of 31 spline axles this is ALL i need correct?

OK! Eaton or maybe a Auburn Pro, but more than likly it will be and Eaton. i heard lots of good things from Eaton and they are rebuildable so that makes it nice as well.
