im gettin ready to order new ball joints to replace the ones i have now that are squeaking and i want to know if i should replace both or just one since the squeaking is just on one side. the boots on both joints are pretty much gone and i was just going to buy some urethane bushings to replace the rubber boots if i don't need to change both ball joints. thanks for any help.

 

if both boots are torn i would go ahead and replace both ball joints. just replacing the boots wont get the contaminants that are already in there out...all it will do is keep more from getting in...replace both ball joints and you will good to go for another 100k miles...
