I agree, some do ruin it for others. This is the case with almost every hobby. This is a huge gripe of mine, so please bare with me while I rant.

I fish some as well - and do some liesure boating with family. I can tell you this - the percentage of assholes that are fishing is about the same as the percentage of assholes on PWC - the thing is there are a lot more people fishing.

I've gotten flagged and yelled at numerous times - and Im (IMO) very polite on the water. A few times, I've had people who were fishing either IN or just outside the channel bitch at me for running IN the channel - WTF did they expect? Other boat traffic is just as likely to spook the fish. Where did they expect me to run?..outside the channel to avoid thier stupid asses roped to a channel marker? lol

I always go under bridges in the center span at low speeds (or idle when required). I've had weights thrown at me....well, now that my wife will be riding with me, if someone throws anything at her, Im going to park the ski and toss their hillbilly ass in the water.

I'm a nice guy, so I try to avoid people fishing/kayacking/surfing/swimming/all that... BUT what people don't realize is that each of these activities have an equal right to the water. Sometimes how one person excercises this right interferes with someone elses idea of a good time and thats a chance you have to take. Like I said, I avoid people doing their own thing, but if there is a guy who sat there waiting for a school of fish and a PWC screws it up for him (at least he says that it was the PWC fault - truth be told hasnt caught crap all day, right? ), he should realize that its a chance he takes when fishing in public areas.

Moral of this rant: Try to have fun without screwing up someone elses good time - and that goes both ways.

Done with rant

One day when I get back to the real world I will go catch some bait, and we will chase tarpon in my boat. When you or your wife hook up to a fish that pulls like a '69 buick, it may change your life. I am not down on all ski owners. Just the retards owner/renters.
You seem to know the deal and if I sounded like I hate all PWC owners, that was not my intent.

I only work to keep me in bait and mustangs.

The only time I fish next to a channel is when we strike out. I go to Bunces Pass, turn up the XM and relax. We just shark fish with the tunes lound and drink beer. We make more noise than anybody else and still get a bend in the rods. If you ever see me there tie up to the boat and enjoy.
I mostly fish early morning during tarpon season off of the beaches until the boat traffic runs the fish off. The only thing I don't understand is why people in boats and PWC see me from a mile away and run right to me? There is a entire ocean and they just want to see what I am doing?
If I sound like I am ranting, I just enjoy the water and like to fish. If I catch my targeted fish it is just iceing on the cake. The real deal is being on the water enjoying Florida the way most people never see it.

Yeah, I wonder the same thing about people buzzing straight to other boats. My only explanation would be that maybe because many people on PWC are only riding for fun and have no specific destination in mind - so they go towards a boat or something

I think were on the same page = some people are morons - I was agreeing with you ina long winded kind of way

Sold the coupe to buy a fastback, which I have now.

Overhead Door has great prices on garage door setups. Brand new 2 car basic, with opener $804 installed.

Do you have any pics of your 67 Fastback?

Thanks - I have a call into them already to get a quote

I'll try to attach a pic of the 67. Its pretty bare, but I have almost all of the interior in boxes. The body and frame are the most rust free I've seen for a project like this. Has original rust-free quarters, which almost never happens. Ony rust is in the cowl (very little) and a little in the front floors.

nice looking 67...what color are you going to paint it? I am looking for a similar car. I like the G-machine look on Musclecars too...gotta love big tires.
