Default Gears.

I have 3.55's, but I'm not satisfied. Everyone is telling me to go with 4.10's, but then I will have no top end once so ever, and gas probably sucks for daily driving. I was thinking more along the lines of 3.73's..

What do you guys think?

Mods
-Flowmaster's dumped with X pipe
-Mild cam
-Under drive pulley's
-Cold air intake

That's about it.

Thinking about some Long tubes with H pipe for my next mod. Maybe some shorties if its too much of a bitch for the LT.

Stick with the 3.55's... the difference your going to feel between 3.55 and 3.73 is hardly going to be noticeable and definately not worth the money, time, and effort.

Definately money better spent elsewhere. I'm running 3.73s with a 28" tire, so my gearing is longer than it would be if I had a 26" tire and 3.55's, and I love it the way it is now. 1st gear to 40mph, yeehaww.

long tubes are not that bad to install, if you not faint at heart, a couple of more mods and you'll be very satisfied with your 3.55's. i have 3.73's and wish i had 3.55's.

Well I have never personally installed LT's, but from what everyone else has told me, they are a bitch, and if you ever want to get to the tranny it's pretty hard too. (This is what I heard from people with personal experience).

Do you guys think I would be alot more satisfied with LT's rather than Shorties?

I should go H pipe right?

not only do long tubes sound better they also work better, the trick to doing them is to pull the motor about 1/2 way out of the engine compartment, ive had my motor in and out no less than 10 times, id be happy to help you, i can stab mine in in less than 5 minutes, and i even have an engine hoist if you dont. i have bbk, chrome 1 5/8 long tubes, they are a year old and have rusted to shit, make sure you get a ceramic coated set, if you care about looks.

the h vs x pipe debate is a dead horse, get whatever you like, they both work great.
