Re Wiring AC
Anyone ever rewire their ac compressor? When I pulled the EFI harness out the wires to the compressor went with it. Has anyone ever fooled around with this sort of thing? Can't I just run a switch to it to kick it on and off?

yea but run it through the pressure switch on top of the accumulator so it will cycle. tap in to get your power from behind the selector switch when it's hot in a/c-defrost.
you'll no longer have a WOT cut off so keep that in mind.

You'll also need to run it through the low pressure switch as a safety in case the refrigerant gets low. Basically find the switched hot wire at the A/C controls, run it to the low pressure switch, from low pressure to high pressure, from high pressure to clutch, from clutch to ground. When power is applied and both pressure switches close contacts, the A/C clutch will engage.

hmmm, now you have me wondering. I thought it would need a high pressure switch to tell the compressor when to cycle and a low pressure switch to keep the compressor from burning up if there is a refrigerant leak (and to cycle the compressor I suppose) You would probably know more than me though.

Most of the time when you have to "re wire"
ok so wich is it? So run a line from the "HOT" switch the AC selector controls to the Low pressure module on top of the accumulator, then from that to the clutch, then run a ground wire to the other terminal on the clutch to complete the circuit?
