Default Re Wiring AC

Anyone ever rewire their ac compressor? When I pulled the EFI harness out the wires to the compressor went with it. Has anyone ever fooled around with this sort of thing? Can't I just run a switch to it to kick it on and off?

yea but run it through the pressure switch on top of the accumulator so it will cycle. tap in to get your power from behind the selector switch when it's hot in a/c-defrost.
you'll no longer have a WOT cut off so keep that in mind.

When power is applied and both pressure switches close contacts, the A/C clutch will engage.
Doesn't a fox only have a low pressure switch?

The s/n 95s have a high and a low but the older cars only have the the low pressure switched.

Most of the time when you have to "re wire" one you can jump the hot wire in at the hot side of the low pressure switch and all is well. You wouldn't believe some of the shit I get here.

ok so wich is it? So run a line from the "HOT" switch the AC selector controls to the Low pressure module on top of the accumulator, then from that to the clutch, then run a ground wire to the other terminal on the clutch to complete the circuit?

yes. pick up the power from the a/c selector then out through the low pressure switch then to the compressor clutch and ground the other side of the clutch.

does it matter which side I run the hot wire too first on the pressure switch on the accumulator?
